Welcome to Blue Rose Farm
Blue Rose Farm is a pony farm on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. We raise miniature horses, apples, flowers, berries, and veggies. We also build small boats, paint them in bright colors, and sail them on Puget Sound.
We have six miniature horses. The geldings are: Cloudy -the oldest one, Jack- the youngest one, and Rocky -the stout one. The mares are Allie and KC, mother and daughter. We have one stallion, Mick, who thinks he takes care of the herd, but the herd is actually run by Allie, the lead mare.
The small equines live with one full size horse, Korik, a Norwegian Fjord Horse who can pull wagons, move large trees, and run up mountain trails. He tolerates the minis, but does not let them get between him and his food.
The farm is organized by Tripp, the border collie, and Tugg, the English Shepherd.
My daughter once described Blue Rose Farm this way, “People come to visit when it’s ponies and rosebuds. They never come when it’s horse shit and thorns.” With this web site, I want to share with you both the flowers and the thorns of living on a small farm and dealing with whatever comes up every day.
